2) Scope

These Terms govern your use of the LiFE RPG web app ("App").

3) Accounts and access

Some features require an account.
You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your login credentials.
You must not access accounts that are not yours or attempt to bypass security.

4) What the App provides

LiFE RPG is a gamified productivity and journaling web app that helps you manage quests, habits, and progress. The App may include AI features (quests, recommendations, avatars).

No medical advice: The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical/therapeutic advice.

5) User conduct

You must not use the App to:

Upload or generate illegal content
Harass others or violate rights of third parties
Interfere with security or operation (hacking, scraping, abuse)

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

6) Subscriptions, Gems, and payments

Some features are paid (e.g., Founder Pass, Gems).
Payments are handled via Stripe. Prices, billing period, renewal and cancellation options are shown at checkout.
Gems are digital in-app usage units with no cash value outside the App.

Cancellation: You can cancel a subscription any time; access continues until the end of the paid billing period (unless stated otherwise at checkout).

7) Digital services & withdrawal (EU/DE consumer notice)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal for certain purchases. For digital content/services, this right can expire if you explicitly consent to performance starting before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledge the loss of the right.

(We will present the required consent in the purchase flow where applicable.)

8) AI features

AI outputs are generated automatically and may be incorrect or incomplete.
You are responsible for how you use AI suggestions.
Do not input sensitive personal data into prompts.
We may introduce limits to protect service quality (e.g., rate limits, daily quotas, Gem usage).

9) Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may update or change features to improve the App, provided the core purpose is not unreasonably impaired.

10) Intellectual property

The App, its code, design, branding, and content are protected by intellectual property rights. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App as intended.

11) Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence.
For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties ("cardinal obligations"), limited to foreseeable, typical damage.
Mandatory statutory liability (e.g., under product liability law) remains unaffected.

12) Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting hello@playliferpg.com (or via in-app settings if available).

We may suspend/terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

13) Governing law and venue

German law applies. If legally permissible, the venue is Berlin, Germany.

14) Severability

If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

15) Communications and Notifications

By registering for an account or logging in to PlayLife RPG, you consent to receiving the following types of communications:

Game-relevant emails — such as streak warnings, quest deadline reminders, and account notifications.
In-app notifications — such as level-ups, proof requests, and community activity updates.
Service-related emails — such as security alerts, policy updates, and important account information.

You may manage your notification preferences at any time within the Settings section of the application.

If we send marketing or promotional emails, you may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in those emails or by adjusting your preferences in Settings.
